Happy New Year

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.  May it be full of happiness, good health, lots of laughter and wonderful, fresh healthy food.

The past two months have been busy for me, like for many of you with Christmas and all it’s festive delights.  I wanted to share with you my new venture for 2017 which in fact began back in late 2016.  Although I have been cooking for over forty years, I decided to take the plunge and full fill a dream and challenge myself.  I enrolled in a Commercial Cookery course.  Cooking has always been a passion of mine and over the years I have gained a wealth of knowledge through observing, listening, cooking with my mother, cook books, magazines and allowing myself to be creative with many different dishes.  Food, like fashion goes through changes however, good, wholesome, fresh, simple food will always remain in our hearts and in our souls.  A dish that is bubbling away on the stove with its smells and aromas when eaten, will transport us back to our childhood, an event or pleasant experience.  Since commencing the course I have learnt, experienced new things and of course had to rise up to a few tasks and challenges.  I look forward to sharing this journey with you during 2017.

My goals for this year are as follows:
Share a new recipe once a week (4 per month).
Endeavour to be fit (exercise more frequently).
Film more food video’s on You Tube.
Complete my Commercial Cookery in October.

Feel free to share your goals, plans, dreams and thoughts.

Enjoy 2017!

  1. Hi Milanka,
Happy New Year to you too. My husband just got an interesting gift for the holidays it turns beer into draft beer.
Congratulations on being Danny Ray’s featured blogger. I was his featured blogger too. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need a blogging tip or two. That’s what I write about. I brought you the link to my About page so you can read more about my blog, and my avatar takes people to an old site.
I also have regular blog parties like Danny.
