This is a simple and easy meat dish to make. It can be served as a starter or a main dish with a salad or vegetables.
Ingredients
1 kg Lamb Spare Ribs
2-3 Tablespoons Moroccan Spice Mix
Moroccan Spice Mix
1 teaspoon ground Cumin
1 teaspoon ground Tumeric
1 teaspoon ground Ginger
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground Cardamon
1/2 teaspoon ground Coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground Cayenne Pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground Allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground Cloves
Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 40-50 minutes
Serves: 4-6 people (Approximately)
Preheat the oven at 200° for at least 15 minutes.
In a large bowl place the Lamb Spare Ribs, add the Moroccan Spice Mix, rub into the meat coating evenly. Line a large tray with baking paper and then add the Lamb Ribs. Ensure that the ribs are evenly spread out in the tray.
Place the tray in the hot oven and cook for 40-50 minutes. Do keep an eye on them whilst they are in the oven to ensure that they are browning evenly. You may need to turn the tray around a few times. If you like the ribs extra crispy leave them in the oven for a little longer. Serve immediately.
I served this dish with a Carrot, Orange & Pomegranate Salad.
Cook’s Tips
If you have left over spice mix, just place in a glass jar, seal and store in the pantry to use later. Moroccan Spice Mix goes well with chicken and other Lamb dishes.
Enjoy!
